I have a truck that I used to run tanker with. The Fifthwheel sits higher for tanker work. Do I need to lower the stands to run dry van?

It should be fine afaik. Company i worked for did a bunch of dry van after oil dried up with the old oil equipmemt. Just need to make sure to mesure from the top of your trailer to the ground for your ground clearance as it may be a tad more then 13'6. Also may need to drop your airbags every time you back under.

No you have low pro 22.5 already your good. I bet you'll be around 13.5 or so. That 5th wheel is probably 46in or so

Grease 5th wheel.
feldsforever and Cat sdp Thank this. -
Measure from the ground to the top plate of the fifth wheel when its level/ if its over 48” dry vans will be taller than 13’6” in the nose. Vans with 110” interior height are approximately 115” tall from the kingpin plate to the top of the roof. If you're in a 14’ state this will be less of an issuefeldsforever and Roberts450 Thank this.
