Covenant has been doing Estes dedicated doubles off and on for a few years.

Came on over to Clinton at receiver, checked in.. gotta wait and see but I’m at the sample shed.

Was asked about a load from Hereford TX to Memphis, which I have said 10 times since last headache, no more meat & bone loads.
My trailer has Dents from poking and prying out the last nasty load.
Not to mention 4.5 hours in 105 degrees.
I’d just as soon fight some kickboxing champion, at least I’d have a chance.

Fed Ex contracts out to large fleets all the tme, and has no problem using foreign equipment to move their freight. ESTES does it too.

There is no set length on pretrip times, most used 15 minutes intervals due to old paper logs.

Coyote also wanted to know if I was interested in pulling doubles for UPS. Another Lucrative opportunity. They think they’re slick. They posted a Load 600 $4800, twice. Of course it’s gone, then they start calling with future opportunities. I’m polite, and say I’ll let them know if I decide. It’s a good sign when they’re calling Me. Hoping they don’t call again. I’m not that nice. Show Me The Money!!!

Pre-Trip takes as long as it takes. Logging a perfect set time every time is a red flag to some officers. Also, if you're doing the minimum, and something fails with your equipment, the first thing questioned is the quality of your inspections.

I was talking to a driver here who got in trouble with Safety because his pretrips were too short. I told him to start his clock and take a shower once or twice a week. Office people lol.
