I'm a new AZ driver, i talked to a recruiter from Challenger for a new driver position with no experience, this is a job for a i think a regional trucking cross border, the only problem i have is i don't have a vehicle of my own to go home, question is how many times do regional truckers comes back home at night time during weekdays?

Well there is atleast some good news in your case. When I worked at challenger there were a few things that helped out, but things could have changed since I was with them two years ago.

Short answer, all runs at challenger are basically regional. Even when I was OTR, I found myself at Cambridge probably 3 times a week. Basically every other night I was back there.

They have rooms at challenger Cambridge, where you can sleep on a bed in a private room, you can also shower and stuff like that. Or you can sleep in your truck in the yard.

What I did for a short while was when I wanted to go home I would park my truck at a supermarket and go home if I needed to get some supplies. As long as nobody complains you won't have any problems.

Challenger sounds like a pretty decent place, a lot better than all these other hellholes out there.

Honestly it was probably the best company I have worked at but the pay was just way too low. It's basically making 1k a week after taxes on average. Hard to survive on that especially being OTR and the costs associated with it.

Waiting times at docks were usually an hour or less. I think the longest I have waited was 3 hours.

The Average at Bison was 650/wk after taxes/Benefits. 1k week clear isn’t terrible, but not great either.

Just today alone I saw two different challenger team trucks where both drivers were wearing masks while driving. That has to be annoying lol

Must be some kind of training requirement. If not, that is a pretty sad affair for team drivers at challenger.
