So I have been trying to get ready to finally make the move to being independent I have wanted too since hearing about it starting off. but I think I may have started it wrong. I just registered my paid off truck also have LLC. But I haven't got the dot and Mc number nor authority just yet. When I tried to get an insurance quote from different insurance brokers. Progressive quoted me for $65k annually. Which the others are also $50k I'm sadly in Florida. Should I wait on that until I have my MC and DOT registered aswell as register my truck and everything else in a different state?. . It's for all the minimum required insurance to haul. I'm 25 so probably another reason it's so high. 4 years of trucking experience though. Trying my best to not go to another company again tired of the hand holding for a % loss in pay plus the bs that comes with being at company's.. Trying to start with power only then move in to dry van mainly..Clean mvr no tickets or points. Thank you very much for any information and tips ahead of time!
Information with insurance WAY TO EXPENSIVE $50-65K

Use a registered agent and setup your LLC in MS. My research showed they were about ⅓ what FL rates were.
Theleftmate Thanks this.
