You will like the 80inch bunk . if you have never been in it before. The 579 rental truck i was running last week had the 80inch ultra loft. It was like living in a mansion compared to my 386 pete.

The floor is really cool too. The only thing I don't like is the high dash layout on the KW's but that's just because I'm short and like to sit on the floor

I sat in one once and that was enough to make up my mind, even compared to the truck I have now it seems so much bigger. And not terribly heavy, I believe my stamp weight is right around 17700 or so.

A few trips onto gravel implement lots and that floor is toast.

I built a shower and toilet in mine.

    in a 38” flat top sleeper .

might have had a couple of 6x9 speakers in wooden boxes laying in the floor .

fridge was under the passenger seat

Ehhh, on that model year, i dont hate it, but agree they could have done something to accent or highlight them (exhaust) a bit

    Sadly , no.

I installed a laundry sink in the floor of the sleeper , hung down to just about touch the driveshaft

that way I was able to stand up .
I had a mattress made that was in three sections , just folded the center section to the side , stepped into the sink and pulled up the shower curtain and Velcro’d it to the ceiling.

i had a seven gallon tank on each side under the sleeper , with a 12 volt pump in each , and one tank had a heater core in it hooked to the cooling system on the engine , so I had one tank with 140 degree water one one cold rank.

and a thin catch tank that was a gas tank from the bottom center of a v hull boat, under the driveshaft on the cross braces for the fuel tanks.

    best thing ever .
Saved me a lot of time , since I could take a shower while waiting at a shipper .

finding water was the biggest problem
Had to carry my own hose , since the hoses at the fuel islands are all too short

Did you have a drain for the water with a tank or just dump it?

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.
