Sounds to me like your numbers are good. I just can’t imagine being out here 39 days in a row. Surely you going to take some days off before getting back to it.

I don’t think the numbers are horrible but as with anything they could always be better but by how much and is that doable on a regular basis?

Rates vary by zip code and your fixed numbers will vary by miles per year ran

If you run a smaller circle the PM might be higher but personally I like coast to coast, might not be as high but I’m not always at work
Loading and unloading can take up most of a day at each end therefore costing you time and money

    I figure all my miles
miles from the time I leave home to when I get back plus any miles ran running around town to shops etc

    I figure 120,000 per year
Then I take my truck and trailer payment whether I have one or not plus a per mile repair cost etc

I figure $1 per mile for all miles to 120,000 go to the truck for the above costs and anything over that $1pm is mine
And any miles over 120,000 are bonus dollars not necessary figured in to my overhead

    National Flatbed Rates - DAT

I started looking at National Flatbed Rates - DAT as soon as I leased first time in 2016. Adjusted the number for my business (I feel me good if I have tendlines+0.2$ in shipper's market and around 1$ in Carriers).

So I can measure my numbers and see if we are ok.

Highly recommend to subscribe for the tendlines and look at it weekly.

I always thought it was brass tacks but I wasn’t about to say it wasn’t brass tax. lol.

Funny the things we hear growing up and never know quite sure.
