Can anyone explain why my cruise control works fine after a 34/10 hr break but every time I stop and start rolling again it wont engage, tried hitting the brakes.
Got no clutch it's an auto. Very frustrating
I know my old KW youd hit the brakes or clutch and it would engage
2021 cascadia cruise will not engage after a stop like taking a break.

I had the same problem for a couple of times so far. I'm trying to pin point it too. It will start working as I'm driving. It happened to me twice last week. It didn't do it this week so if I find out anything I will pass it along.

I drove a 2021 Cascadia with the same issue. It would go weeks & the cruise would work just fine then without warning it would not engage. It always would engage within 15 minutes of so of driving but it was frustrating when it wouldn't. My truck had a little over 100,000 miles on it. Not driving it anymore.
A couple of times I pulled over, shut off the truck for a minute or two & it would work just fine. I'm sure it was a computer glitch.slim shady Thanks this. -
Try a hard brake application before you start driving. My Volvo is an 05 and sometimes at random cruise doesn't work. Took a while to figure that it needed a hard application to "reset" it's ability to cruise again. Especially if you're easy on the brakes off the highway to park

Okay, so there is a couple of things this can be. Wabco has an update for the ABS ecu if yours is on the list(attached). There's also a service solution from DTNA (google SS 1033950-couldnt attach). And finally check your 7 wire to make sure the trailer abs power isn't being interrupted when you go over bumps. And if you pull the same trailer, check the trailer to make sure the power to the ABS ECU is good.

Now the last driver of the truck covered the adaptive cruise control sensor.
And I've left it that way. Could that cause this issue, it was fine but lately I cant engage my cruise. Normally after I shut down for my 10, it works in the morning
But not today no cruise at all -
If you're talking about the front radar, It will prevent adaptive cruise control operation. And you'll get faults for radar blockage, but you should get an option for standard cruise.
