Rate Discrepancy between usa and Canada

Shop rates are $150-$200/hour now. The mechanic might see $40-$45 of that if they're at a decent company.

 

A lot of Chinese and Korean drivers showing up also. These guys have skills, most were doing heavy haul, containers or city P&D in some of the most crowded and busiest cities in Asia (Or the world). They were basically working for noodles and rice over there, so having a few dollars to rent a #### apartment, have some beers and steak now and again, and not deal with oppressive communist/socialist regimes (I guess Korea is pretty ####ed, they all call it "Hell Korea".

They all agree they were definitely lied too, when they got recruited to come over. Some were told to expect to make $500K/yr company even! But even with how #### things are here, they're happy to be here, and would live in the truck surviving of fuel points, before they will ever go back.

 

We are doing good, but not 20k per week. It's mostly 6-10k per week depending on what you do

 

If what you say about Australia is true they need to boot their government two weeks ago I read a article about Australians still unable to return home .

 

lots of south asians in australia driving trucks now .I believe the government had a program for trucking companies that needed drivers real bad . i remember watching a news story on youtube of a indian driver playing on his cell phone and ended up killing someone or a family in van because he wasn’t paying attention

 

I blame the United States too in a way. They give visas to all these Singh's in Canada to drive in the United States. If they scaled back on that I'm sure the rates would go up. As for trades, you are absolutely correct. Unless you are licensed, you aren't making much, basically minimum wage.

This whole country is going down the tubes. I'm thinking cryptocurrency trading is the way to go at this point. Know some guy who's up 300K in the last year on it.

 

All the money in the world wont help you if the stores are empty, cryptos fatal flaw is its requirement of widely distributed internet infrastructure.

Its all well and good to say you can make bank at wall street, but without anything underlying that but bank bailouts, its just not real
