Can I expect a full two or three days off if I were to go OTR with Swift, Knight or CR England?
Is 2-3 days off for every 3-4 weeks out the standard for OTR Megas?

with swift yes.
1 day for every week you are out. -
Crete/shaffer is like 1 day per every 6 days out but you still have to be out 3 weeks before going home. Might be able to get into a regional account at a mega, which is home for 2 days every 2 weeks. Or even a dedicated that would have you home for a 34 every week.

Two kinds of truck drivers, those who live to truck, and those who truck to live, I’m no longer living in a truck, thought it seems like it recently, go somewhere like Schneider tank division, 6 days off per month or regional dryvan and be home every other weekend or something, or you could burn out and hate your jobPamela1990, 6wheeler, scott180 and 3 others Thank this. -
What’s a day, a full 24 hours ?
-
Yep; some companies offer more flexible schedules now, but it’s usually a pay cut or slip-seating. A few also offer 1.5-2 days off per 7 days out.
Pamela1990 Thanks this. -

I personally offer 2 weeks on, 1 off or 4 weeks on, 2 off.
Home time is important I figure.Pamela1990, Frank Speak and bzinger Thank this. -
Some of time off depends on your location. If your close to where freight is running you might have more time off
Tho you should get @Chinatown to help you find something better than the bottom feeder companies. Other than CR England, what you listed is where drivers go with horrible driving records -
Also if you are contractor instead of company driver. You can dictate your time off. But just remember. If you are sitting still. You are not making any money. $$$
Pamela1990 Thanks this.
