what are automatic failures on the road test with a manual tranny

    In Indiana they say that's only a fail if you impede traffic lol
    So if there's no one behind you I guess that means you're good?

    Most have been covered, the one I have not seen and the most instant fail is rolling backward while stopped or if you select reverse while stopped at an intersection (some drivers do that to find first), and coasting while out of gear ( depressed clutch is the same thing).. none of those are good.. all failures

    I know this is an old thread but i’d like to update it for NY in case anyone finds this thread thru google. Auto fails on the test in NY while on the road is touching the curb, shifting in an intersection, getting in and/or out of your truck without making three points of contact, shifting over railroad tracks, forgetting to put your seatbelt on, letting your truck roll backwards, and finally coasting without being in a gear! Hope this helps someone!
