Seriously though, what you say about the protectors does make sense and I should probably be more careful of that, but I always thought those protectors were meant more for the plastic banding than the straps. I am never around when these get delivered to us so I don’t know how they come in. I just kinda invented my own way of doing it and our customer has been happy so far.
Those protectors do come in pretty handy and I always steal them when I find them laying around our yard. In fact, in that one pic I posted with the two concrete poles on my deck, you can see I used a few of them on there.
