Small truck stop have diesel at 2,79 while big chain truck stop 3:45. Why you use pilot over smaller truck stops?

mega companies get a "kick back"/discount for sending all their trucks to the mega fuel stops and drivers are stuck going only there.

With a Penske lease: the sign at the flying j says $4.15 the pump says $3.49 after swiping the card. I also get 8 times the points.

It depends on your fuel card. Just the other day in chicagoland pump price was 3.72 and i actully paid $3.31. Fuel cards make the big boys cheaper in many cases. That being said however i love ma and pas as they tend to be less crowded and the type of driver there TEND to be the old boys who wont rip your hood off.

Chain stops charge more because of the rewards they kick back

I buy fuel where it’s the cheapest but at TA pilots I get a pretty substantial discount

It’s too bad though as the mom and pops are “ usually “ much better and less piss soaked

Sometimes a Small Truck stop will have trouble. process ing a fuel card. Mudflap, if they are on it is faster and the discount is sweet.

When I go to pilot is like 12 cent discount. With a fleet fuelcard . But to run on pilot all week. 3000 miles. It’s like 1700 a week. Compared to 1250 on mom a pops. I don’t care about points . I saved 90 dollars that’s 450 a week. That’s why I’m confused. It’s maybe cuz I’m the owner of the truck. Or it’s just that hired drivers really don’t care where they fuel? I don’t get why OO go to big chain Truckstop
