does ttr vet the companies that advertise on their job site?

I realize that good vs bad job is often subjective or just the luck of the draw, but a couple of companies advertised have reviews here claiming they cheat and steal .

I'm inquiring with a company I found here that sounds really good (Strong trucking group) but driver reviews are blood curdling.

I kicked your question upstairs and I'm sure an admin will be in touch.
As far as I know we don't guarantee the veracity of any of the help wanted ads. That would take a much bigger staff than we have. If an ad turns out to be crooked we'll pull it but we usually wouldn't know unless one of our members reports it.
Use your common sense and ask lots of questions. If something sounds too good to be true it's prob ably a shuck.

Aren’t you at Thompson? That not working out? I always heard pretty good stuff about them.

If possible try to talk to drivers that work there. Ask them their likes and dislikes.

I never believe any advertising from trucking companies.

Indeed has a lot of feedback/reviews from company drivers. When I put my resume on it they asked me to review my current company.

    Hope it all goes well.

I am with TNI and I really love them , n spite of so-so pay, but... I bought a house and getting to it for hometime is such a hassle I'm exploring companies out of dfw. I've said it before, it needs to be a heckava deal to pull me away along as TNI doesn't do something shabby. So I'm looking, but not frantically.

I knew it was a company that has a terminal around Little Rock. Yeah, I never hear anything bad about TNI either, other than the so so pay.

Follow on question: If it is illegal/ripoff for these companies to pay company drivers on 1099, how does it keep being offered out in the open?

Ive never been good at setting money aside to pay income taxes so I shy away from 1099 companies. But as far as I know its legal.
