Aftermarket cabinet shelves

Think ur gonna have to cut some yourself. Shouldn’t b too hard. Most big box stores will make the cut for you for about $.50. Look for the pre made shelves, measure and cut

 

I got the same basic thing with my VNL760. one cabinet is set up with a clothes rod to hang clothes. Now, I actually prefer to hang clothes. But, it wastes some space doing it that way. I'd rather have drawers, at least shelves, in that cabinet. Looks like there are supports built in for 2 shelves, but can't find anything even close to those shelves anywhere.

 

Plastic boxes work well. Can use different sizes or? Just stack them.

 

I have a t680, but it has the same issue. 4ft tall cabinate right behind the drivers seat with a clothes rod and multiple spots to attach shelves but only 1 shelf a foot off the bottom.

I stacked plastic shoe boxes from Walmart in the upper part. Can fit 4 high and just barely 2 wide.

I would try a junk yard, I'm sure there is a few of those smashed for parts? That would be my first go?

 

I was thinking of using two wooden dowels with holes drilled in the center of the end of the rod. Then use a dowel screw to connect both dowels. Put the dowels inside the cabinet then twist to expand them like a shower curtain rod to fit into the cabinet and stay in between the plastic edges. Then cut some kind of wood paneling or plywood for the shelf. Here's a picture of a dowel screw so you know what I'm talking about.

 

Maybe go to Lowe’s or ACO, Look at the cabinet hardware available. They have regular shelf brackets, like in Kitchen shelves. Get some larger metal ones if possible, instead of plastic ones. All that’s needed is a small hole drilled. If you don’t want to drill the cabinets, you can use 2 pieces of wood, 1/2 or 1” x 2” on each side. Wouldn’t have to attach the wood. Once the shelves are in place. Should all stay in place.
