I’m going to orientation this Wednesday in San Antonio. Anyone work there before that has any advice about what to do and what to expect? Closest thing to home as I could get as a rookie driver btw 5days on 2 days off
Starting at Dollar General, what can I expect as a driver?

You do know you’ll be unloading rolling containers onto a lift gate and rolling into stores? The stores are located sometimes in tight old shopping centers/strip malls.

I’ve done flatbed work, food service, and now gas. Unloading a rolling rack onto a lift gate and pushing it inside isn’t that hard. And I liked the hard backing I had to do with food service. Like the challenge.
Gearjammin' Penguin and JolliRoger Thank this. -
I've only heard bad things about dollar general accounts. they call them the cdl jeopardizer account. definitely would not suggest to a rookie but if you think the pay is worth it then go for it
