Hi
I broke the right rear spring on my 9200 international.
Putting it back together seemed to be going along nicely till the bolts for the air bag assembly wouldn't line up with the new spring (Which matches the old but broken one).
I could jack the air bag assembly back to fit but the airbag ends up on a bad angle.
The axle and thus the spring seems to have moved back about 1.5 - 2 inches.
What to do now??
Also it seems I need to adjust the front rear axle alignment as well.
Can anyone help with my alignment troubles??
Dale

Did you align the center pin of the spring correctly into the dowel hole on the axle saddles?

I think I did, yes. How should I check?
I just set the spring in place atop the axle (didn't have the new U- bolts yet) and attached airbag assembly to the spring.
And everything looked out of alignment.
I didn't look to me that tightening up the U- bolts would help pull alignment back to correct. -
Hi
Thanks for the reply.
I'll check that.
The attachment wouldn't open.
I believe it's the Henrickson system. (I thought it was international's own system, because the castings all have the International emblem on them, but I see from another post it's a Hendrickson) -
There should be an alignment dowel welded to the axle that the center hole of the saddle and block line up with. I'm not positive because I don't work on many International tractors though. -

Hi Ross
Thanks for sending the picture.
Yes, there's the alignment dowel on the axle.
I cleaned up all the parts too to make sure rust deposits didn't affect alignment.

First of all, I want to thank all who responded to my need. I'm grateful for the help and grateful I found this forum. May I say, God bless you all.
I'm sort of embarrassed to tell you that my trouble was all caused by failing to install the spacer which goes between the spring and the top axle bracket (see attachment).
I had all the parts set out in order when I disassembled, but didn't keep them in order when I cleaned them up .
Needless to say, when everything was put back together in order, everything fit and aligned!
Thanks everyone once again.Attached Files:
