Maybe not Landstar, but companies that have that type of set up as I’m not ready to go out fully 100% on my own. Would like to buy a good used truck and sign on with a company similar to Landstar.

I would consider Landstar but I’ve heard a lot of horror stories, about 50% of drivers I meet say it’s great and the other 50% say it sucks.

I just want to run for myself soon. Sick of the lies and games as a company driver.

    Im based out of Raleigh.

    Badmon and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

You'll get plenty of lies and games from whoever you lease on to and from brokers when you go independent too. Get used to it. The transportation world is full of scumbags. If you plan on pulling open deck consider a drop deck and Admiral Merchants.

    You need to remember that
    1) most of the guys who have a good gig are NOT advertising it
    2) there are tens of thousands of drivers and the percentage that hate their job will be the same ones who hate EVERYTHING!!!
They can’t make it no where. Trucking. McDonald’s etc

I keep telling people to find the middle and that’s on a forum or on Yelp

That person who #####es about the chicken fried rice later reveals that he hates Chinese food

    That said
I was with Long Haul in Minnesota
Not a bad outfit but pretty obvious they were hiding $$ like all the rest

I’m now with a different company and on the same loads it so far is better than LHT and at LHt it was 90% and now I’m at 75%
So that alone shows how much Lht was sliding to the right

The best gig is the one that works for you. If you have the mentality to be successful you can make it with any company. The guys that ##### about not making money , give them a couple minutes to keep talking and they will tell you why they dont make any money.

They “ run on promises kept”
    Their shop is premier 94

    Overall a 7 of 10
Not sure if I’d ever go back but they’re not the worst
