Based solely on everything you’ve written about over the last 2 times employed at Crete/Shaffer, I’m thinking that’s not enough money to put up with all those truck/trailer/load planners/peoplenet/daily memos/poor planning and whatever else I might have forgot. Trust me, there isn’t a perfect gig out there, but everytime I think about leaving my place of employment, I start perusing the forum and get a reality check. We aren’t perfect here, but I’d rather deal with 490 trucks and our dysfunction then 4000 trucks and that dysfunction. It takes a special person to put up with the things you do, I know I couldn’t.

Loads like that are usually when I have to challenge Wyoming's high winds.

This truck has the Drivewyze turned on still. And it's not giving me the roll-over or downgrade warnings like the other truck did. But...it's still as useless for bypassing scales as the other truck. I thought, maybe, the other truck's Drivewyze was giving me so many pull in's was because I was out west...nope. I got 0 bypasses on open scales yesterday, and 1 1/2 bypasses on open scales today. And the one bypass I got yesterday was for the Florida cabbage cops, but I am pulling a reefer, so I had to pull in. Today's one bypass was on the I-85 NC scales coming out of SC. The 1/2 a bypass was the I-77 scales just before VA, but the in-road bypass system gave me a bypass before the Peoplenet did. In VA, even though they're Drivewyze scales, 'pull in if open' (and one was open, the other wasn't). WV's rest area scales were closed, but got a 'pull in if open', and both of PA's scales were closed, but got a 'pull in if open'...boy am I glad they're wasting our hard earned revenue on so many bypasses.
