Just remember that Cascadias have that exhaust treatment box that costs $10k and needs replacement at 400k-500k miles.

Swift takes good care of their trucks. Mandatory service every 25k miles, no idling under 72 degrees, 65 mph governed.

Many moons ago around the mid 90s at the TA's in Montgomery,Al there was this truck driving that couldn't back into a parking spot no matter how much I helped so I finally asked him, do you want me to back your truck up for you and he replied yes....
As soon as I sat on the driver's seat the stench of what you discibed hit me...
Parked the truck and I'll never do that again..

It could be the same with a truck of any origin, right?

And think of the people in the shop that had to deal with that persons truck over several years.

The last time my truck was in the shop the mechanic commented on and thanked me for keeping such a clean truck.
    I told him... But I don't.
Because, I really do not clean that much. I also smoke my pipe in the truck.
He then went on to tell me of the stench and trash he has to get around in so many trucks.

That is not a company issue, it a person issue.

Swift has a maintenance schedule that will not allow a truck to operate past.
You either get the truck in for service or you are dead in the water. No more loads until it is done.
A-service every 25k, B-service every 50k, and a CA BIT inspection every 90 days if you are running there.
(Although the A-service is a bit wishy-washy...from time to time.)
Swift is serious about not having mechanical issues with their trucks.

And your iron will outlast 90% of trucks on the road too.

I wouldn't call myself a mechanic but I can fix stuff to keep making money.

The only warning I would have is not all Swift garages are equal. Most you would go in for A or B service and everything was obviously done, others would be like one pouting mechanic half ###ing everything. But if it is a an automatic without serious damage and price was right, I might. Idle times won’t be high bc Swift policy has engine cutoff.

When I was Swift about 3 years ago, I had a 2018 Cascadia with opti-idle. It would Idle automatically for heat, A/C, and using the inverter. That truck had lots of idle hours.
