You would think all that flexing would cause the bolts for the front mounts undue stress.

I’m a little worried about buying the wrong kit for my truck. It’s a little harder locating the right parts for a 1986 truck. That eBay kit I found said that cabmate states it will work for a w900b
does anyone have advice on finding the right kit?Attached Files:

Can you post a picture of the front cab mounts? Some of the early W900B cabs
had the front mounts half way back under the cab. If you have that setup you
can't install an air ride.OldRed98 Thanks this. -

Just invest 1200 on the seats pinnacle seat and be done with it. Its an amazing seat with dampner adjustment
Seats inc. Pinnacle seat . Best seat everOldRed98 Thanks this. -
Can you post a picture from the front of the right cab mount. Its hard to tell
from that picture. The mid mount cabs had the mounts located in the area
near the center of the door opening.OldRed98 Thanks this. -
I wish there was a solution. This truck is awesome but rides like a lumber wagon. I have an old school air ride seat but its still rough. Maybe a better air ride seat is my only option.Attached Files:

Yes those are the center mounts so you can't install an air ride.
I worked for a KW dealer when the B model came out and there were lots of
complaints about rough ride.
The rear cab mount bushings looks like they have some movement which will
cause a rough ride. The original rear mounts were soft 70 durometer 2 piece
mounts. Kenworth tried a couple different mounts and finally went with a one
piece Lord bushing that was 90 durometer rubber a harder material. They look
like the ones you have. any movement in the rear mounts allows the cab to move
forward and back harshly. I would try replacing the rear mounts first and see if it helps.OldRed98 Thanks this.
