Hello! I’m looking for the good/bad/ugly trucking companies to possibly work for (or avoid) after I graduate CDL school. I understand putting in my dues will be for about the first year or so, but looking to not get run over. I’ve had my eye on knight and Schneider so far, but nothing too specific for Oregon as a rookie. Ideally I’d rather avoid doing 6+ weeks of OTR with a trainer if possible (just not that comfortable around a complete stranger 24/7). Looking for my husband to join in the near future for teaming. Ideally allow a dog/pet after a certain timeframe/mileage. My family lives on the coast of oregon so finding companies that have routes there would be ideal (especially if they allow you to take the truck home during home time). Thanks for any advice you may have to send my way :)

    Female Drivers
CFI is proud to support female truck drivers.

One of our very own female drivers, Stephanie Klang, was named as an ATA’s America’s Road Team Captain. Stephanie surpassed an incredible milestone of driving over three million safe miles!

At CFI, we’re committed to driver satisfaction. With a competitive compensation package, great benefits and one of the most modern and best-maintained fleets in the industry, it’s no wonder our drivers tell us that the grass is not greener on the other side. It’s why they call CFI home. For us, it’s more than just talk. We mean it. Because of this, we have the best driver loyalty, and the

Optimized Idle means the temp in the truck stays comfortable when you're stopped for a sleep break or a layover.
Most companies are using Optimized Idle for fuel efficiency and driver comfort.
Driver comfort should be considered when choosing a company.
