I am strongly considering moving from Tennessee to California at the end of the year. I am an LTL driver for a company that does not have terminals out west, so I will have to apply to a new company. Old Dominion seems to be a strong company, and they have terminals here I could transfer to if I ever needed to come back. I was also considering Fed Ex Freight, XPO and Estes. I would like to live close to the beach, and San Diego seems to be a better place for that. It seems like all of the Los Angeles beaches are far from the terminals except for Long Beach, but I’m not sure if that’s a good area to live in. As much as I like Los Angeles, I think the traffic would be miserable to drive in everyday for work, so San Diego is in the lead. If you are an LTL driver in either of those cities and have any advice or suggestions, I’d greatly appreciate your feedback.
