    Hello,

I've recently started at R&L carriers, but have an opportunity to sign on at ODFL as a wild driver. Just wondering if it's worth the swap. R&L night line runs are making about $240/night. R&L P&D starts around $25-26/hr. I don't really have an interest in doing P&D with either as my full time gig.

I’d ask your SCM about system driving as a solo at R&L. They’re not common but I knew two that did ok. Solo System driver is R&L’s version of running wild

It’s bad. R+L is one of the lowest paying jobs for linehaul. I’m averaging $400-$500 per day at another LTL.

Some R&L runs are killing it, some suck. The rate he quoted is low. D St o much depends on seniority location and dispatch. Many R&lL linehaul guys are near or above that magical six figure mark. He could be jumping from the frying pan into the fire. Team/Solo sleepers are a different animal from M-F linehaul at R&L. The upside to M-F is no bagging out and no dockwork.

Running wild for OD I don’t see any reason why you couldn't make $350-$400 a night if you’re willing to run. Once you get up to speed with how they operate run hard but keep your hand off the cell phone while the trucks on motion.
    I wonder if OD wild runs get a 70mph truck or a 68 or a 65?
Any OD drivers shed some light on this?

@LPjunior1970 you would only get a 68mph truck if you have a run over 600 plus. Anything 500 and below you get a 65mph truck.
