Me and my husband have used convoy a lot of lately. The cool thing about convoy is they accept our offer then when we are out using their trailer we can pick up another convoy load and delivery that load and possibly even grab another load for them before retuning their trailer and we’ve never got charged a trailer late fee.. AS long as we are hauling their freight they have waived our late trailer fees. And we’ve actually kept their trailer 2 days past their trailer return date. Like you all have explained we have to have our tracking always on but we have not had a problem getting paid. We have actually been very satisfied at how quick they do pay us.

I think we’ve been averaging 2.63 a miles. A couple of weeks we average 3.23 a mile. So I have no complaints with convoy. NOW COYOTE IS A DIFFERENT STORY. We did a load almost 2 weeks ago and signed up with quick pay and as of today we still have not been paid. Such bs.

Yep I have no problem leaving my tracking on allowing them to track especially since I will be paid quicker and also because I’ve kept their trailer 2 days beyond their trailer return date so I don’t want to encounter any problems with us keeping their trailer.

Convoy doesn't work for everybody, but for those of us lucky enough to live in regions where they have a lot of business, there is no need to use regular brokers. I have my contract clients, and when I need a load I get one on Convoy in short order and it pays as much or more than what's offered on DAT, which I cancelled last week by the way.

Besides, one good booking on DAT can pay for the whole annual subscription.DieselDrivinDaddy, 86scotty, crossroads50 and 1 other person Thank this. -

It's pretty easy to see what lanes are doing by comparing Convoy and Uber rates. Uber is almost always lower than Convoy on the same lanes, but it gives me a good idea of what I should be looking for.
It all may be moot anyway. I may have already pulled my last load, I just haven't pulled the trigger on selling my equipment yet or broken the news to my wife. My back has been out on and off again for the last 3 months, and I'm just wore out. A couple days at home moving around doing things and my back is in great shape. Then back in the truck and I'm hobbled over for almost a week. This is a younger man's game, but younger men don't really want to do it any more. Even Convoy has been pissing me off and I'm one of their biggest supporters. I just know I've had enough. Ready to work from home again.crossroads50, TallJoe and p608 Thank this.
