How In The World?

Easy. Over pass wasnt 13'6" or the airport cut corners and raised the road when they repaved it.

 

This brings up a good question. I have went under quite a number of bridges that were labeled at 13’7”. The other day I encountered one that said 13’6”. There was nothing stating a truck couldn’t go under the bridge. However I opted to go around it. Lol I think they give a little bit of leeway, but 13’6” On the sign is always going to be 13’6” in my head. Lol

Driver didn't "know" height of needed vehicle clearance?
Every overhead is 13'6" regardless of signage?
Driver wanted an extended vacation?
Last ate at burger king and "wanted his/her/its way out"?

 

The pedestrian walkway is 13ft....... he's 13'6.....

True confession here: I drove my truck through the Ft Lauderdale Airport earlier this year lol. I got detoured by an accident late at night, and had to go the other way on 595 and turn around on US1. However, the road split and I took the wrong side of the fork, and next thing I knew I was entering the airport with no way to turn around.

I pulled over and waited for the officer nearby to come over and advise...which is what this guy should have done. He told me it was OK to go through the departures lane on the 2nd level even though it said no trucks, and it happened fairly often. I got a lot of looks from people though.
