Ten-Four on that! Trucks are cheap right now, Arrow trucks are going to be flooding the market pretty soon. Also, the fiasco with Arrow should make you shy away from L/P with a company. Not only is it just a bad idea, if the company folds, where does that leave you with a company leased truck? Imagine how the L/Ps from Arrow are feeling right now..... There is just not enough vaseline........

Also, I'd be real careful right now about making a big commitment in this economy. Make sure you can afford it......

What I seen at some companies you are much better off buying from a dealer than the company lease trucks. Some do offer new trucks, but most offer trucks they have already worn out.

Most lease purchase trucks(some are leases and you never own) cost about 50% more than buying outright. I am willing to bet you can't find a company that has more than 20% finish their lease purchase.

The whole concept of the lease truck is the driver gets paid last. The company covers all their cost first, then the lessee gets paid or gets a settlement with a minus sign. If lease purchase deals were outlawed many company's would go out of business and rates would go up.

OOIDA has a article this month that says the only way to keep from getting ripped off by a lease purchase is to not sign one.

I would advise anyone who is thinking about going lease o/o, go get a baseball bat and hit yourself over the head with it over and over again until your a bloody mess. Trust me it will be less painful then leasing a truck from any of these huge companies. I hesitate at this moment to tell my story on these forums for legal reasons. but trust me when i say DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE ONLY FINANCIAL WINNER IS THE COMPANY WHO LEASED YOU THIS TRUCK. i cannot even afford health insurance for myself. and believe me its not because of poor frieght its because of poor planners and managers, who if they do not like you will give you the lowest paying loads, the worst loads they can find to make your life a living hell.federal government needs to step in on these companies and regulate them with prejudice.you have no more freedom than a company driver, to the company you are a simple employee that they can abuse more.
