$20/hr is like minimum wage in San Diego. He'd do better flipping burgers. At least he'd have a free meal and a schedule.
Do any local jobs allow for free time?

I just realized I'm slowly regressing into a lazy person over the years of my career.Zoltan1a and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
I work local/regional averaging about 65 hrs a week for > 100K. Home every night mostly. Have a 15 to 20 minute commute and usually have between 60 to 68 hours of weekend off.
About the best I think I could do.
I find that's enough time off for me to get things done and stay social w friends and family.
It works for us anyways.Hazmat Cat, Coffey and Chinatown Thank this. -
There are plenty of jobs that will work with you, but many are small mom and pops that don’t advertise. I lucked into my local gig.
I RARELY work over 45-50 hrs a week. I leave the house anywhere from 6:15-6:45 and am home by 5:00 at the latest, usually by 4:00-4:30. I work Monday thru Friday and have all of the recognized holidays off with pay. Got good vacation pay, sick leave and decent medical, dental and vision. Good 401k. And, I’m paid for ANYTHING I do that is related to work.
Truck in shop? Paid hourly til it’s fixed. DOT Physical? Paid hourly for however long I it takes. Need a new CB or antenna? Owner buys it.
These jobs are out there. But you have to look for them.Zoltan1a, Speed_Drums, born&raisedintheusa and 3 others Thank this.
