No one likes needing wreckers or paying the price when it happens. However, keep in mind those #### things are expensive as hell. Your lucky to get one for under half a million. Not only that but they require insurance that would make your average driver cry for mercy. People cry about needing a million or more for standard loads. What wreckers carry makes our insurance look like pocket change. Not to mention having to often hook up on the side of a dangerious as hell road with morons as seen above whipping past them.

What they charge is steep and hurts no one will debate that. But most of them are pretty fair in what they charge just due to their own costs requireing it. And frankly if you need a wrecker so often that its that much of a problem for you then either stop driving chicago containter truck level garbage or fix your #### rig so you dont need to see them and stop being the dude driving around with a rig like this.

And his front tires were even worse.

I’ve watched this video clip several times, even though it was the container haulers fault, I didn’t and don’t see the wrecker at least “try” to move over or take some kind of a defensive move to avoid it. I run that stretch a lot, along also on the 605, 710, 91 etc., all containers routes. When I see one of these coming up behind or anywhere near me, I’m ready to see what jack*^s move there gonna make. I believe your supposed to call it “defensive” driving. But what do I know …….:cool::eek:o_O

Dave knows he has a dashcam. Dave takes a good hit to the front of the truck. Dave thinks it’s more important to chase offenders truck down instead of stopping to inspect his own truck. Dave is a dildo don’t be a Dave.

All you have to do is go Drive around the ports in the railyards and just see how bad many of the container haulers are… there must be a reason why they are the most targeted trucks for the local DOT‘s in the Houston area… yes some of the freight haulers are bad but the container haulers certainly outnumber them… go drive around for the day around the ports of Los Angeles in Long Beach and you’ll see what I’m talking about as well… Get your hood taken off by many of these people

If I had a nickel for every broken down, junk yard ready OTR truck I see hauling Amazon, UPS, or some other leased (Xtra, McKinney, Metro, etc.) I could retire. Yes, there are junk can haulers, there are also can haulers that take pride in their equipment, keep it properly maintained and run professionally.

According to PePe's contest winning paint job...you wrecker drivers Rape us on the bill then spend the money on exotic paint jobs and after market chrome....so I'd imagine its pretty expensive

....but what does the cost of the tow got to so with fair pricing and service? ....ok so you spent a couple hundred thousand on a truck off a government loan...thats no excuse to be unfair in the tow game.

I expect you to be a human being and not a scam artist and overcharge me on the tow.
you people hurt the little guy out there then wonder why they won't call you and give you bad reviews and word of mouth to use someone else.

you make plenty of money on Recovery and im sure half the people that can't pay after an accident you acution it off so let's NOT pretend like you aren't making any money with all that fancy chrome and exotic paint jobs you got off the back of the REAL working man.

Most Wrecker companies are scavengers with the exception of a few good honest companies ive worked with out there

I tell you truth when I say an honest tow company that that is fair will never rest because of all the business they will aquire through word of mouth .
But a scavenger tow company will always sit idle only working from scam to scam
