    If you are on a California road that has a 65' OA length limit, pulling a 48' spread axle do they enforce the 40' KPRA if you are legal on your OA?

    The KPRA law only applies to trailers longer then 48’, axle configuration doesn’t matter.

    Dave the 40` bridge law is just that the axles are 40` from the kingpin. I also have an extended sleeper pulling a 53` trailer. The length of the sleeper has no bearing at all.
