Air chamber leaking on pintel hitch, is the preferred method of repair to change out just the chamber itself while still on the truck, or remove the whole hitch and repair on the bench?
It looks like it would need to come apart, to take the whole works off?
Is this dangerous like taking a brake chamber apart?

Its only a service chamber, no park brake spring in it. If you can find out what size the chamber is you may be able to just put a diaphram in it. Repair process will depend on access is you can change it on the truck or not. I sure would try it.
