So I got a load of mail and ended up having one skid not being paid for from the shipper. So when delivering they rejected it. Had another stop and took it with me per broker. Just delivered that stop and was last stop. Now playing the waiting game on what to do with the broker. Of course I have everything documented on BOL and with the Broker.

Just wondering if anyone has dealt with something like this with it being mail. I think it is catalogs or something to that nature going to peoples homes. Not 100 percent sure on what it is other then mail.

No seriously, call the post office, they can help get the consignee to move on it.

I and a few of my drivers have done paper routes before, this isn’t a new problem, the post office seemed to always helped get someone moving with the consignee.

Yes and when I was there they basically acted like ########. Started to get all pisssy with me since they took stuff off the truck and then did not want to sign the document. Told me to just leave or they would call cops on me. Told them all I need is for you to sign document BOL with what you took off. Can't move off of dock until you do that or put all skids back on truck and refused all of the load. I didn't care either way but I am gonna get the BOL signed.

Well I got the skid of my truck. I ended up calling and talking to manager at shipper who then ran down the correct people for me to get it dropped. Now just trying to recoup a few bucks for having to redeliver the load. I doubt I get much but I wanted to make sure I was empty so I can get decent paying loads and move on. I wanted to make them agree to a rate before I took it back but I know it really is not gonna be worth messing with them over it. I will get at least detention and a little bit for driving it back 50 miles. I only asked for 875 for the wasted day. Will see tomorrow what they say.
