Highly doubt that's going to change anytime soon. With all of the manufacturers scaling back production, it doesn't leave enough to go around.

Well this afternoon I had to open up my storage lot to have truck movers take out four trucks I sold a week ago. I had them advertised on a popular truck list. I put in the ad “MAKE OFFER” because it didn’t matter if i sold them or not.

I had a specific range I would let them go for.

So within an hour of the ad being posted, I got ten texts from different people. I told each of them to come by and look at the trucks and “make an offer”.

The next day I had four people look at the trucks, four different people.

Each were tire kickers and left without giving me an offer. I expected that, it happened the last time.

After a busy day of being a boss Scrooge would be proud of I just finish dinner, was relaxing on TTR, out of the blue my company cell rings (which I hate), I get a call from one of the tire kickers, he wanted the trucks … all of them.

He made me an offer and there was silence on my end of the phone.

I said, after I was helped up off the floor “I need to counter offer” and did so which he said “ok sold!”

2017 (bought in 2016) with about 700,000 each - lightly used team trucks - he got each one for …

I’m not saying but his offer was outrageous. He said he could not find trucks with documentation like mind under $110k.

I didn’t take his offer, I let them go a lot less because my expectations were a lot less, I set a price and stick to that price I need to get out of them. I do this because I sat on trucks for months, got tired of that and want to get them out of the fleet,

Used gliders should be an exception all things considering

Even if you did have to "properly rebuild" a 60 series for example.... you can definitely rely on the motor not taking a #### for at least a year

Just sold my 2019 T680 and 2019 Utility reefer with 245,000 miles for $210k for both. Paid $240k for both 3 years ago. I probably could have gotten $240k if I waited long enough, but I made good money using the truck, and things will start breaking down soon, so I figured it was a fair price.

Screenshot_20211028-003116.png This is just mind blowing. I wouldn't even want this kind of truck for half the price, things are starting to fall apart at this mileage and dealerships are out of parts. Heck my local Volvo dealer even has shocks and air bags on back order

There's definitely some crazy outrageous prices out there and just some dang high prices. But unfortunately the market kinda sets the price. Next to impossible to find a new truck right now. I've been in business for a few years, if I need a truck what am I to do?
