So it's a waste of money for a company to properly train a driver.Just turn them loose and hope for the best.lol Well your entitled to your opinion but I prefer to share the roads with experienced and well trained drivers , not some inexperienced untrained rookie fresh out of driving school like we have now that thinks he knows it all just so some company can save a few bucks.

Lmao wow. What is the point in having a separate license to drive a truck then? At least I base my opinion on facts. I didn't start trucking till 4 months after getting licensed in ON Couldn't get insured by a company due to a racing ticket. Moved to Winnipeg. 3 days later I got sent Wpg to South Carolina no trainer. Never even drove in USA before. Easily accomplished. Plus I went to a cheap dumpy school that only teached to pass road test....now a days the schools teach wayy more. There's no reason anyone should need a trainer these days.

I often wonder the same thing.Lots of people with that piece of paper that says they can legally drive a truck but they are anything but truck drivers.

You better come back to Ontario and run the 401 for a few days.Lots of untrained steering wheel holders but very few truck drivers.

That was 10 years ago i left and then moved back 6 months later to ON after the racing ticket dropped. So yeah I have run 401 somewhat recently. Moved out of ON again a year ago.

Most pay flat rate so if the chipper goes down the trucks keep lining up at an alarming rate…or a issue at mills dumper and again,,,trucks keep lining up.
