LTL companies that offer mostly day/evening driving on linehaul?

To me, the biggest drawback of LTL trucking is that at most or, perhaps, all LTL companies, the linehaul drivers have to do the vast majority of their driving at night. Furthermore, most LTL linehaul drivers have to drive daycabs, so they cannot go back into the bed in the sleeper berth to take a 2 hour nap if they need to. I don't think that I could hack it at an LTL company if almost all the driving was at night, and I had to drive a daycab. I might eventually fall asleep when driving and wreck the truck.

Are there any LTL trucking companies where a new linehaul driver would do at least half of their driving in the daytime hours?

    Nope.

That's why the money is so good. We are compensated for the risk involved and the damage the job does to our bodies and brains. Also, the nature of next-day freight is that it can't wait two additional hours. There are too many interdependent parts that require the whole thing to keep moving. There is a market premium paid for that speed and reliability.

Some companies do offer daytime linehaul BUT you need years of seniority in most cases unless you get lucky.

Please name one such company where I could potentially get lucky and get a daytime linehaul position without seniority.

I see fed ex, Saia, dominion, and several other line haul lol companies out and about during the day. But seniority is key

So you’re looking for daytime linehaul/shuttle work, home daily, with a sleeper cab?

Im sure there are jobs out there that fit your criteria, but they aren’t at LTL companies, so there aren’t any good ways to find them aside from using very broad keywords in job searches and looking through the jobs one by one.

I am looking for daytime linehaul LTL jobs with a sleeper berth, but I don't have to be home daily. I need two days of hometime per week. That's all.

That isn’t LTL, nor would you work for FedEx.
