The excuse to give former Somali warlords, Taliban, and recently-arrived MS-13 gang members from Central America a Class A.

Well, the President of CH Robinson went on CNBC on Oct 27th and said:

“Trucking is a great job for people that want to come to this country, start a business and work for themselves,” he said.
The CEO of a major logistics firm has suggested that more immigration could help alleviate the current strain on drivers in the trucking industry in a recent interview.
    Problem solved.
Trucking CEO suggests ‘more immigration’ as key to solving perceived truck driver shortage

Yep. It is now called a “non-domiciled CDL”. Won’t even need to go through a school if a company is willing to sponsor you.

I finally found my 2021 edition of The Political and Corporate Doublespeak Dictionary and Translation Guide.
It was around here somewhere. It is almost threadbare already. I carefully translated the CEO's remarks above about more immigration.
Here is what the translation is:
We need to flood the industry with 3rd world applicants who are willing to work for low wages, even poorer working conditions than we have now.
That way we can continue to exploit the same people who have been exploited for centuries and make even larger profits, without leaving the comfort of my office.

Maybe what they mean is there is a shortage of "American truck drivers in the USA".
