C.H. ROBINSON wants to hire more immigrants.

Sure sounds great.
Let's see how they feel when the legislation requires the companies to pay the immigrants $1.00/mile on W-2 OTR or $50/hr on locals. Got to make sure these immigrants get to the "American Dream" before any actual American citizens.

See this is what I don’t understand. Every single immigrant I know worked hard to achieve the American dream. Very few did it driving. When I say few I mean 2. The rest opened up their own business after a few years here.

but what I see here is many company drivers unwilling to take the leap and be an owner op.

why?

you won’t get rich working for someone else. The employer’s job is to give you enough to survive not get rich.


People here for generations complaining about the immigrants getting rich. But forget that the road to riches is paved with risks and fails. Many today have forgotten this.

 

Ain't no guarantee you'll get rich working for yourself either.

 

well the American dream is that. You stay middle class if think middle class. Remember without risk there’s no reward.

 

see that’s the issue. The American dream being sold by a certain political party isn’t the American dream we learned about when we decided to come.

the one we learned about was “if you are willing to work hard, and hungry enough you will make it here.”

America has the most billionaires and millionaires. Why? It sure as hell wasn’t working for the man. It was that ## attitude that made America the beacon that so many do everything to get here.

the bill of goods sold to the average person that a pension or social security will take care of you is bs. That mentality is now sunk into This culture and being sold as the American dream.

the real one is simple but being forgotten every day more and more.

 

And what’s changed since then was everyone being told they had to go to college or they’d be losers the rest of their lives. That was all to go get brainwashed and indoctrinated.

 

What the hell is the American Dream anyway? It seems so subjective.
