I have 11 straight yrs OTR experience but haven't driven in the last 2 yrs.
Among 20 or so companies I called, only one said I would need minimum 2 yrs experience within the last 36 months. All the other ones didn't even require a refresher.
They take in consideration how much experience one has.
BTW, next year no school will be able to offer a refresher. Any one wanting a refresher will have to apply for the whole CDL program and be tested again.
Going back OTR after 7-years away

As for myself, I feel A LOT more confident now than I did when I first hit the road as a newbie, even though I did receive good training from Roehl back then. If I didn't think I could hit the road as a good, safe, capable driver, I wouldn't go back out. -
