Afternoon, folks. I know it's been a minute since I posted, but I was focused on training down here in Springfield at Prime.
Good news! I passed my CDL road test and am now officially an employee of Prime. Now comes the TNT phase, but I have to wait for a trainer to become available. I will most likely go home to wait. It's nice down here, but I don't want to spend anymore time at the hotel and I can use the time to transfer my license. Plus, it would be good to see some family and friends before I hit the road for those 30K miles of training.
Also, I had originally chose reefer as my division, but I did PSD training with a tanker driver. Now I'm considering whether tanker might not be better in the long run. Decisions, decisions...
Anyway, just wanted to update you guys. You've all been very helpful since I decided to make the jump to trucking. Thanks again, and I'll continue to keep you guys updated on how things go.

Congratulations. I know Prime has the 1 year commitment what's the payback amount if you don't stay the year? I know things happen at times and you may not stay for the year. That's why I ask on any of the company sponsored schools.
Thanks -
Congratulations!! Best wishes to you for great success on the road. I test for my Class A in two weeks. I can imagine how relieved and excited you are with this milestone behind you.

Thank you for the reply. I agree that's not bad if you have to pay it back. I know they have tanker but I don't know if they get to the Lacrosse, Madison WI and Dubuque, cedar rapids IA area often enough to be in that division. I'm sure they're an all auto fleet for training right?
