Started an application for UPS delivery driver couple months ago, never finished it. They keep calling/emailing me to see if I'm still interested.
Currently have a home daily job, with no desire to go back sleeping in a truck at this point. Ideally I'd like a job that pays well and doesn't work you 60 hours a week.
Worth pursuing perhaps?

If you dont want to work 60hrs a wk then dont go to ups. The place treats workers like machines. They try to make up for that with a good top pay rate (I think $42/hr top rate under current contract) and no cost health insurance. Lots of guys wearing knee braces, elbow braces, and wrist braces that drive those delivery trucks throwing packages around all day.

My parents neighbor is a UPS package driver in a small to midsize town. He says he does like 250 stops a day. Idk what time he starts but I’ve seen him taking his lunch break at his house at 6 pm, since he lives on his route. And in August he looks absolutely WHOOPED. In a tin oven driving around, digging packages out of the back and then running them inside. He makes good money but as stated he absolutely earns it. He also said they went thru a training program where they were instructed to make more right turns than left, for safety and fuel savings or something idk. He could’ve just been kidding because also as stated, they have rules upon rules galore.

A friend of mine drove package delivery for UPS for about 25 years. Dropped dead of a heart attack at 50 years old. Don't know if there is any correlation. His back and knees were shot before he croaked. Made good money though. Was it worth it? I can't ask him now

And yet i see UPS delivery drivers on the phone constantly as they drive around their routes. Who could possibly have that many girlfriend's they need to talk to before they go home to the wife.
