This is why I refused to train or team. One of us was not getting out of that truck alive.

Hopefully this will serve as a cautionary tale to the others.....the tail had better be priced right or there could very well be problems! ;-)

    I know youre joking, but...
You realise this is the inherent problem with making *anything* illegal right? It definitionally means interaction disputes will be solved by violence because they have no recourse to the law.

Well it seemed to work good in the later 1800's when most everybody hand a gun on them.. you steal a horse you get hung .. you start a fight .. get get shot you cheat at cards you get knifed.. etc etc.. if a prostitute stole from you she got shot.. pretty simple rules.. not all bad ..

Many of us suffer from a form of bias that we think all the others think like we do do. The libertarians have this issue. Unfortunately, no one has figured out a way to get society at large to shoulder enough personal responsibility to make the real "American Dream" the one described in our constitution a reality. I think it is possible, but it would take a SIGNIFICANT majority of the citizens to work towards it, and it would take awhile.

Different states seem to be really moving in quite different directions on many issues presently, and this was the original design. We will get to see in time how some of their ideas play out in practice.

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the governance of any other"

The wild west was much tamer than hollywood would have you beleive, but elements of what you say have truth to them.

My citation on the illegality of things is to do with say prohibition.

The 18th amendment basically created the mafia in the united states, that by the way is the sane argument against having marijuana cocaine etc illegal, it doenst stop the demand, and if youre willing to supply illegal demand, you better beleive theres going to be gang wars and cartels involved.

A cartel is nothing more than a company operating its own brutal security in an illegal market, brutal because you dont want to have to resort to force all the time, you let your reputation do the talking. but the flip side is only someone that is brutal enough to understand that is fit to lead the cartel... this is 99 % of the time no wise philosopher king, much more often its the tyrant paranoid despot we see in nero, caligula etc etc

Perhaps the lot lizard was less than truthful with their pronouns... after getting hot and heavy in the sleeper it became apparent to "John" the truck driver that his reserved parking slip for his alley docking maneuver was already inhabited by an overlength load?

    Just a thought...
