If you are in the Houston area or don't mind moving to Houston for a few weeks, they are offering free CDL training. No string attached.

Wow, incredible opportunity! Not just CDL but diesel tech, and some trades.

Probably going to take a little manipulation if you don't currently live in Texas. Still worth it if you have the time and inclination to reestablish residency. Plus side is you won't have state income taxes as a TX resident.

That's easy. I did that with 2 pieces of information. Bank statement and auto insurance policy. Plus escapes RV is in TX for the address.

What's the normal cost? I wonder if my wife will let me move for a few weeks?

Typically CDL school runs between 3500 - 5000 I believe.

Those credit courses will get you started somewhere but you'll need more training to get a diploma from what I'm reading. Looks like you'll get a certificate for those courses. Still a heck of a deal for the residents in the area.

    Badmon Thanks this.

Our local Community College's CDL program is nearly $6500 for tuition and books.
