I need new tires for my trailer, what do you recommend?

What kind of trailer and budget?

 

I bought cooper LHT for my van fresh alignment and shocks yearly. Centramatics and generally get great life out of them. Rotate around 80k miles

Availability might be what makes your decision for you right now. Shortages and price jacking are a real pain currently.

 

For tandems I'd recommend Bridgestone R123, as for spread I'd go with the General RA. They're not the cheapest option, but I've had the best use out of them.

 

I have generals on my spread flat and they have really held up well. Better than I could have hoped actually.

 

I run a 53’ spread with slide lift and dump so I usually can run with only the rear set on the ground
I run Michelin on everything
XZE2 on the trailer and usually will pull that rear set at about 200k
Put new on the front and rotate those back for another 100k depending how they look
Used to pull all 8 close to that 300k but my fronts run way less so this has been working
I pull my steers just under 200, maybe 175k just because that’s where everything takes a beating and my only lifeline between the ditch, then I’ll hold those for extra trailer tires if I need but haven’t yet

I’ve had good luck with off brand tires but I don’t drag my gear through the ditches either so just driving well and watching tire pressures will do much more good than brand alone

 

Not sure what you pull but Bridgestone is a good tire. Obviously Michelin as well.
