X15 O/O Maintenance - What do you do?

    Oil change every 15k, overhead every 100k. Don't idle. If u can, remove the BS asap

    Put a oil bypass filter system on it yesterday

    189k miles on 2020 x15 . The only problem has been a clogged up fuel filter. Runs like a champ. Oil changed every 15-20k.

    I have heard and started noticing the oil shortages. Last night as I was walking around walmart I saw they had Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15W-40. I have a X15 Cummins with 24,000 miles on it. Should I use this oil on my next oil change? Should I go back to hoard oil? Even though it looks scary under there, I’ll change the oil myself if need be. Thanks.

    If you mean the problem with ceramic pieces breaking I think they had that fixed by the 2016 manufactured isx15 engines.

    So the x15 also has fuel pump problems? If so I wonder why cummins keeps suffering from that problem.

    The X15 has all of the updated parts for the older style hp pump and so far has had no repeat issues the ISX15 suffered. The performance series engines have a redesigned Nextgen pump that also has also had no issues.

    Oil and Filters w/full greese; 20-25k
    Fuel Filter and Separator; 10-15k

    DEF filter changed at 150k

    Motor has been flawless for 160k miles now — seem to eat fuel filters in the winter time (non-Davco truck) heard the Davco is the solution but I’m just a company hand. Truck doesn’t use any oil and we run Shell T5 exclusively company wide in all our trucks.
