What if it Snows?

I always worked 5 days. Till I was 32 yrs old. Then I went OTR regional. Still home weekends and twice during the week. Wasn’t till I was 40 and got my Authority. Then it was whatever. Still only averaged over 5.5 days a week, except for one yr. I ran 140k miles for peanuts. Rates were low, fuel was high. Grossed 203k spent 92k on fuel, at 6 mpg. 5.5 days seems to be average when working hard. Lately the whole concept of a consistent work week is unimaginable. It’s stay out 7-21 days. Take off 3-14 days. The time off always kills my bottom line. Trying to minimize time off. If I can the rest will take care of itself.

Just saying it makes me smile......never been there, though.

 

Yesterday I woke up in Willacoochee AL. I doubt it’s named after a person. Must be an Indian name or phrase, as so many Alabama Town’s. I wondered what it could possibly mean.

 

Detroit is French for “The Straits” Named by France due to the Detroit River, running from Lake eerie. Detroit included the now Canadian side.

 

Yes I am working this year for thanksgiving.
