any idea how to watch fork lift drivers damaging reefers????

2 cameras, one in the nose facing doors and one above doors facing nose. Solar powered and wireless that feed to a monitor in the truck and record to disk or memory card.

Too late, got to catch them in the act, and even that's iffy. Upon leaving, how could you not notice the gouges? I swear, today, before anyone went in my trailer, I'd have a camera mounted at the back, even if it didn't work. You'd be surprised how careful they get.

 

More and more warehouses are going to the newer style dock where you back in with the doors closed then they open it up from the inside, load/unload you, shut and seal the doors from the inside if it's an outbound load. You never get to see the inside of the trailer until you're opening it up at the receiver. So, unless they penetrate or damage the outer skin of the trailer, it's hard to see. Especially on the parts of his trailer where the scuff plates were damaged because you don't see that until the freight is removed.

I agree with those that say, some sort of camera system, but being a reefer, it has to be some kind that can endure the wide temperature swings, and that have some way of not frosting over on those sub-zero loads.

 

Try the FalconEye DVR setup. You don't need the $800 outfit I have with 1TB of storage, just a simple one that records to a flash drive should do ya.

 

I always wanted to try a nanny cam on a piece of pvc up the drain cazoo(the trailer's, not mine) just to check the freight on my preloaded/sealed loads, but it wouldn't be long enough to see over the back pallet and still get it between the ground and the cazoo

 

You could try using chimney sweep rods. Shove one in and then screw another on for more height.
