    Hello profesional truck drivers.
sometime last year (2020) , I was at US foods in Syracuse UT loading my trailer. about 2 days later, in phoenix, I opened the doors for the receiving guys and I noticed that one of my doors had a couple of deep cuts where you could see the insolation. I was lucky that the cuts didn't go through the door.
I contacted US food, but the basically denied everything and I did not have anything to prove my claim. as most of you guys know that in this warehouse you back up with you doors closed and they will opened and closed from inside.
About 3 moths ago, I was in clearfield, Utah getting my trailer loaded and I felt my trailer moving like the forklift driver was racing his machine inside my reefer. I was very upset , but I did not say anything about that. after I delivered the load , I noticed that my trailer had about 20 inch ripped the lower part (metal liner) I wasn't sure who done it. the shipper or the receiver. I don't like to blame people if I am not sure about it. my reefer is a 2018 Great Dane , it is very expensive equipment, it cost me about 500.00 to get it fix. since then , it happened one more time. the damaged cost me 370.00 for repair.
Im so FNG upset and I don't know what to do.
does anyone have an idea how to control this type of abuse from shippers or receivers?
    I appreciate you time ,
    thank you

2 cameras, one in the nose facing doors and one above doors facing nose. Solar powered and wireless that feed to a monitor in the truck and record to disk or memory card.

Too late, got to catch them in the act, and even that's iffy. Upon leaving, how could you not notice the gouges? I swear, today, before anyone went in my trailer, I'd have a camera mounted at the back, even if it didn't work. You'd be surprised how careful they get.

More and more warehouses are going to the newer style dock where you back in with the doors closed then they open it up from the inside, load/unload you, shut and seal the doors from the inside if it's an outbound load. You never get to see the inside of the trailer until you're opening it up at the receiver. So, unless they penetrate or damage the outer skin of the trailer, it's hard to see. Especially on the parts of his trailer where the scuff plates were damaged because you don't see that until the freight is removed.

I agree with those that say, some sort of camera system, but being a reefer, it has to be some kind that can endure the wide temperature swings, and that have some way of not frosting over on those sub-zero loads.

I thought about that , but I don't what type or brand will endure -20 temperature. I. sometimes , haul ice cream, but most of the times my loads are at least -10.

Try the FalconEye DVR setup. You don't need the $800 outfit I have with 1TB of storage, just a simple one that records to a flash drive should do ya.

I always wanted to try a nanny cam on a piece of pvc up the drain cazoo(the trailer's, not mine) just to check the freight on my preloaded/sealed loads, but it wouldn't be long enough to see over the back pallet and still get it between the ground and the cazoo

You could try using chimney sweep rods. Shove one in and then screw another on for more height.
