Most food establishments are not large enough to land an airliner in. Its not a case of trucks not being able to fit, they should at least have a couple of lanes that would allow trucks to use their facilities and buy their products.. It's nothing personal, its their choice and its simple for me to go anywhere else BUT there.

So, the gas station loses and has to change names. But look at the advertising they got.

Walmart has nothing that I want, except maybe ammunition and most of the time they don’t even have that anymore.

There is a Bucees right here in the little town I live in (Temple Tx)
I have been there a total of 4 or 5 times.
Not sure what the big deal is, either way there is a little Cefco 'Truck Stop' across the highway.

Don't think I would want to walk across that bridge.
Might be able to park across the loop I have seen some trucks there here and there.

You may not put a semi tire on their property. But you can park on the curb in Texas and get a pretty good BBQ sandwhich while all the employees give you the evil eye. Then the store manager asked me to not park on the street again. I reminded him since I am a Texas citizen who also drives a semi I paid more for that parking place then he ever will. And if his goal was to get me to leave, the more he fussed with me, the longer I would be parked there. Not sure, but it did look like steam coming out of his ears.

So, now he is a Texas State Trooper. He don't have authority to tell you not to park on property he don't own. Its like telling you, you cant park at Pilot any more. He don't own that frickin property. He cant tell you where or where not to park if he don't own the property.
Having said that, he could call the police & have them come out & tell you, but he (Buc'cees Mgr) cant tell you crap about DOT property.

I have been back, stopped tonight in fact. He did call the locals one day and they turned out to be roping friends of mine. They gave him a gruff don't harrass the lady truckers again speach. I just smile at him when I go in now, he just grinds his teeth. Poor guy gonna get an ulcer.

I live in Texas. Buccees is militantly anti truck. The gas is unbranded. I’ve noticed my personal vehicles run best on Exxon gas so I never buy gas at the beaver. They do have decent prices on food, and their sandwiches ain’t half bad. But the merchandise prices are silly high. You can get an overpriced cooler or T-Shirt at Buccees with a beaver on it or you can go to Walmart and get better quality without the beaver for much less. The only time I stop in is if I don’t need gas and I just want a quick brisket sandwich and I know their bathrooms will be clean.

But their decision to be so anti truck has cost them some of my business as when I wanted some lunch in the work truck I wouldn’t even think to stop there.
