I am thinking about parking my trailer and doing PO. I am a female driver and throwing the chains is becoming difficult. I need your opinions regarding PO. I know the past rates are less than I am getting with the SD.

I recommend anyone that can, in opendeck. To lease or rent a dry van in the winter. Rates are stupid for open deck right now. Doesn't really answer your question. But PO typically pays considerably less then having your own van or even SD in the slow season. Of course there are exceptions. But I'd be ready for a big pay cut if you choose the PO option

If $1.20 a mile is for you, Po is great, lol. Sign up with Schneider and run your truck into the ground

If throwing chains is your a only issue, use rope, throw the rope over the load to be chained, hook the chain on the end of the rope and pull the rope to get the chain over. I used that method when I had rotator cup issues.

Is selling your truck and trailer, then getting an easier job, as a driver a possibility.

Keep the infrastructure coming down the pipeline in mind as well. Soon, flatbed and others alike will be in high demand.

I love the 1.25 per mile power only rates.

    Not really.

I am an owner operator and I haven’t used a trailer since around may of 2019.

I can tell you I get just as much as the guys with trailers. Guaranteed.
