Hello guys, i am looking for a eaton fuller transmission shop or any accredible transmission shops out there(USA) that can perform a transmission swap from manual to an auto. Before you give grief about automatics I already heard stories, some bad others good. The decision is due to permanent injury. Thank you all for the help.

You wanting a fully automatic with no clutch or just an auto shift? Did they offer a full auto in 04 yet?

If you really want to do it first you need to find someone that will sell you an auto trans and give you decent money on your good manual. Inland truck parts is who I would start with there. Then you would need to talk to a KW dealer about the rest. You need ecm reprogramming, wiring harness, and your truck won't be hard wired for the extra plug for that, then you need the paddle shifter and lord know what else. Not going to be cheap or easy.

Far better off to buy a truck with an automatic.

I took an autoshift out of my Pete and made it manual. That required removing parts and that's easy. Your project will need to add parts you never had

Than you, I am aware of the amount of work and money this will cost, do anyone know of a shop that will take on this kind of job?

You also will.need tranny computer, harnesses, programming to make everything work. That's a nightmare of a job, unless you buy a wrecked donor truck to swap everything over

    Rideandrepair and W900.92 Thank this.

yeah the kw dealer should be able to do this, they are the best place to get it done. They can provide the right parts and do the ecm firmware changes without guessing.

it is going to be costly, may be better to get a truck equipped with one instead.

I agree. Save yourself headache and nightmares of troubles. Find a truck factory equipped with auto.
