My wife wants to decorate the truck. We have battery powered lights that will work well in the front window. These would only be used when we shut down at night, never driving of course. Then a tensel truck carrying a tree and some bows for the grill. I don't think it will mess with air flow at all.
The ones I'm not sure about are the lights for the grill. Putting some on will be easy but what won't get me a ticket to have on while running. Are colored lights ok? What about flashing? Any advise?
Also, who else is decorating their home away from home? Show your truck off.

I've a few years ran a string of green lights on the front of my truck, but stopped doing that.

I've thought about doing some kind of Xmas decorating to my truck. But, just thought about it. Hasn't gone anywhere, probably never will.

Back in the day I would decorate my Rig. Would rent property from the Montgomery Ward shopping plaza in New Port Richie.
Then I set up my Rig and rented lot with Christmas lights and Christmas trees. My trailer would hold a thousand trees.
I would gross around $ 28,000.00 for a weeks work. Yeah, those were the days.NCTru919, BennysPennys, Pamela1990 and 4 others Thank this. -
I would not run with lights lit on the grill. It is illegal to run any colored lights in some states. I know for a fact red is illegal on the front in NY and blue is illegal anywhere in MA. This us of course unless you have authority as in NY a Fire Chief officer. It would take a true Richard of an officer but why take the chance.

Once again, the chicken haulers and bull wagons are getting a good chuckle reading this thread.

Technically, only amber, or clear lights are allowed on the foward of a vehicle, on the rear, red or amber(signal) are allowed. Depending on the mood of a LEO, that’s the question.
BennysPennys, Pamela1990 and DrFlush Thank this.
