Pay extra attention to your antenna system with this radio, especially in a newer truck. Failure to do so will result in your disappointment in your new Stryker's performance. Like Craig said bonding is part of it.Short ground straps on the door hinges is a good place to start. Example of what I have done on my Cascadia......

Antenna placement and mounting is crucial. Look around on YouTube for videos regarding installing an antenna on your truck.
This might sound like we are over complicating this, but you have invested a good deal of hard earned cash in your Stryker and it would be a shame to blow it up with an antenna system not worthy of your radio.

    Good luck!

Yea I’m not going to use the mirror mount. I’m going to put the antenna on my headache rack like I had it on my other truck. I still bonded the rack to the frame and it worked out good. Showed good numbers on my rig expert 55. I like to be able to get it above my cab and I’m able to talk to my local base stations in the 20 to 30 mile range all day. Im not on 19 much because we have the local preacher man on 19 all day.

Yeap gettin it up is always good(Yes that what she said)...This is where you really need to pick up some really good coax with good quality ends..Once all put together and tested dont forget the lil things like covering every connection point for water/dirt intrusion..
Bbi has a few vids on bonding which are great ut he also shows how he covers his straps and extra steps in keeping the bond connections clean n dry..Worth a watch even if you already do so...

Well locks only keep honest people out. I like the fact I can put it at the angle I wanted to. I just ordered a 10k dual coil and putting it on my headache rack with bonding the rack to the frame.

    Good plan on bonding..
Once you get it do a test for height, dont want to be to tall....
Once all tested installed i would seal every joint from tip to end.
